Nikola Vucevic ties career-high 43 points in Bulls 132-118 win vs Warriors. The Chicago Bulls defeated the Golden State Warriors for the first time since March 2, 2017, thanks in large part to a season-high 43 points from Nikola Vucevic.

Without their star player, DeMar DeRozan, the Chicago Bulls halted their three-game losing run on Sunday by shockingly defeating the Golden State Warriors, 132-118.

Coming into the match, the Bulls had dropped their previous 11 contests against the Warriors, but they were upbeat as Nikola Vucevic and Zach LaVine guided the Chicago Bulls to a convincing victory.

Vucevic ended the game with a season-high 43 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, and four steals on 18 of his 31 field goal attempts and 5 of his 10 three-point attempts.

Vucevic proceeded to lead his side to victory in the second half, scoring 25 of his 43 points in the last 24 minutes to increase the Bulls’ lead to 73-56.

With a 9-0 run late in the fourth, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson combined for a flurry of triples that nearly gave the Golden State Warriors a chance to win. They were unable to overcome Chicago’s outstanding defense, which led to a staggering 23 Warriors turnovers and 31 points scored by Chicago as a result of those turnovers.

Zach LaVine contributed 27 points, nine rebounds, and six assists to the victory, and Nikola Vucevic had his greatest game of the year, ending with a season-high 43 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, and four steals.

The Bulls’ big 56-34 victory over the Warriors in points scored in the paint was another nightly high point.

The Chicago Bulls now have some more time to rest up before their game against the Detroit Pistons in Paris on Thursday.
