Mikel Arteta makes history after Arsenal’s defeat to Everton. After his team’s 1-0 Premier League loss to Everton on Saturday afternoon, Mikel Arteta, the head coach of Arsenal, made history.

Following James Tarkowski’s game-winning goal at Goodison Park, Arteta observed Everton defeat Arsenal.

According to OptaJoe, Arteta lost the game against Everton, making a total of three away defeats against the Toffees during his managing tenure.

The Spaniard is the first Arsenal manager to suffer three straight defeats against Everton in the Premier League on the road.

Everton were excellent against the Gunners, Arteta acknowledged in his post-game press conference.

Arteta said, “Well, I think Everton were really good. We have to congratulate them first for how they have turned things around and I think they made it difficult to win the game because they were really efficient.”

Arteta’s side will now face Brentford in their next Premier League tie on February 11 at Emirates Stadium.
