Kim Kardashian “Disgusted” By Balenciaga Kids Ad

After being silent for days, socialite Kim Kardashian addressed the contentious Balenciaga ad campaign that had infuriated a lot of people. Children were showcasing BDSM gear in the advertisement.

Fans camped out on her social media accounts when the images initially surfaced, pleading with her to expose the company for its “disgraceful” advertisements. She finally spoke up after several days of silence.

In a tweet on the campaign, she said that her silence over the past few days wasn’t due to her failing to notice how awful the ad was, but rather because she wanted to meet with the Balenciaga team to learn more about how it could have happened.

She called the pictures of kids wearing BDSM gear “disturbing,” adding that protecting children should be a top priority and that there should be no attempts to normalize child abuse in society.

Balenciaga had already deactivated the provocative campaign and extended an apology before she even made her comments.

She accepted the brand’s apologies, saying that it had understood the seriousness of its error and responded appropriately.

By the way, in what has been called a flimsy attempt at blame-shifting, Balenciaga is said to have filed a $25 million lawsuit against the ad’s creator and production company.
