Zahara Is Engaged To Her Boyfriend. After accepting her longtime partner’s marriage proposal, South African singer Zahara has formally taken herself off the market.
Zahara’s immediate family and a few close friends were present when engineer Mpho Xaba proposed to her on Friday at her home in Johannesburg.
The singer announced her engagement to her followers on Twitter on Saturday by posting a photo and a video of the event.
Zahara added the statement, “When other males in my life were busy conducting load shedding, I found myself a generator,” to the image. Due to the praise her followers offered Zahara, the post quickly gained prominence and she started trending on Twitter.
The two have publicly acknowledged their relationship on social media for the past half year, during which time they have been together for six months.
She is now engaged after a difficult year in which Zahara dealt with both personal and professional challenges. Despite this, the singer has made a full recovery and can now be found living a contented life with the support of her boyfriend.
Messages of congratulations, expressing happiness and excitement for the pair, have been pouring in across Zahara’s social media platforms since it was announced that she is engaged.
Although Zahara has not disclosed any information on her future nuptials, her devoted followers are impatiently awaiting updates from the singer herself.
