Why I didn’t remarry — Patience Ozokwo. Patience Ozokwo, a renowned actress in Nollywood, has explained why she chose not to remarry after her husband passed away many years ago.
The disclosure was made by the actress on Thursday as she was speaking on ‘Mercy’s Menu,’ Mercy Johnson’s weekly cookery show.
The matriarch of Nollywood claimed that her kids begged her not quit, pledging to support her.
Patience Ozokwo stated, “I wanted to remarry, but my children begged me not to marry another guy because they had already reached adulthood.
“And they pledged to become my husband.
“They requested me to remain unmarried for them so their friends wouldn’t make fun of them and that their mom remarried at their age,” I said.
“I recognized them. Even if it was self-centered of them, I made the enormous sacrifice for them. For family, no sacrifice is too great.
Regarding Mercy and attire
The seasoned actress also thought back to her advice to Mercy to stop dressed indecently.
“Do you remember when I told you that the images you take now, your children would view them tomorrow and question, instantly, the sort of lifestyle you had when you were younger before you were married,” Patience Ozokwo said.
Mercy Johnson responded by agreeing with the assertion.
“Yes, you did,” she said. You warned me, Mercy, to dress appropriately because when I have children, they will question me, “Why are you appearing this way?”
