The Best Southern African Artiste Of The Year award was also nominated for South African artists. At the awards, Black Coffee, Elaine, and Focalistic represented South Africa.
Black Coffee was also nominated for African Artiste Of The Year, despite just winning a Grammy for his album Subconsciously.
Every year, the best song of the year is determined by the song with the most admirers. Patoranking’s Celebrate Me, Flavour’s Doings, Wizkid’s Essence, Adekunle Gold’s High, Lojay & Sarz’s Monalisa, and Fireboy DML’s Peru are among the tracks on the list.
The Headies Award 2022 will be hosted in Atlanta, Georgia on September 4th.
