Riky Rick, a well-known rapper, may be no longer with us, but he hasn’t been forgotten. BET International recently recognized the songster.
The “Boss Zonke” hitmaker would get the first Global Vision Award posthumously at the BET Hip Hop Awards in 2022. This was revealed in a recent message from the platform’s official Twitter account, which you can see below.

Riky Rick passed away early this year on his own terms and with his own tools. It was concluded that he committed suicide by hanging himself in his studio as a result of depression. He seemed to have struggled with that for a long period by alone, up until it devoured him. Sadly.
His friends and colleagues have been paying him the respect they deemed appropriate since his terrible passing. Some people named items for him and produced music with him in it before his passing. More held concerts in his honor. Still others used his photo as their profile picture.
BET International is the most recent to pay tribute to the late rapper and fashion icon. And yes, South Africans are delighted that one of their own is receiving such honor.
