Italian Football Federation deducts 15 points from Juventus over financial violations. Juventus has had 15 points taken off of them in the current Serie A season due to financial irregularities at the club, according to the Italian Football Federation.
After an Italian soccer court looked into their transfer activities and found them guilty, the penalty was imposed on Friday.
ESPN claims that the decision, which also hurts the club’s reputation, is worse than the nine points the soccer prosecutor had originally wanted.

Juventus, who was third in Serie A before the 15-point penalty, is now in 10th position with 22 points.
According to ESPN, the decision also barred former club chairman Andrea Agnelli for two years from holding any positions of authority in Italian soccer as a result of his mismanagement and financial manipulation of transfers.
Once the ruling’s justifications were made public, Juventus declared that it will file an appeal with the nation’s sports guarantee authority.
Juve’s attorneys stated in a statement, “We believe this to be a flagrant injustice also for millions of fans, which we expect will be swiftly rectified in the next court.”
Juventus has said that its accounting complied with industry norms and denied any misconduct.
Exor Holdings, a holding company owned by the Agnelli family, controls the club, and its shares are traded on the Milan Stock Exchange.
