Free State Education MEC Tate Makgoe Dead In Road Accident. Tate Makgoe, the Free State’s MEC for education, has passed away. According to rumors, the automobile he was riding in struck “stray cattle,” and he and one of his protectors perished.

Sello Dithebe, a representative for Makgoe, confirmed the occurrence and provided some additional information. He mentioned that the incident occurred on the N1 outside of Winburg.

The collision had been reported to the Free State emergency services, who arrived at around 1.30 a.m. The rescue team discovered that three people were trapped inside a light vehicle that had struck two cows.

While they managed to free all three of them, it was discovered that two were already dead on the spot. the driver survived with moderate injuries and was rushed to the hospital, where he is still recuperating.

Informed about the fatal accident, the basic education minister, Angie Motshekga, was lost for words. Makggoe’s death was just simply shocking. She attributed the success of education in the province to Makgoe’s leadership and dedication.

South Africa’s education minister Fikile Mbalula described Makgoe as having served diligently and that his death was a great loss not just to the Free state but to the country as a whole. Funeral details will be announced shortly.
