The way major record labels manage the Amapiano movement has DJ Maphorisa in a rage.
The music producer criticized Universal Music on Tuesday for taking down the Scorpion King mix from YouTube after Sam Deep’s single, Thokoza, was released.
He criticized the label, claiming they lacked business acumen.
The funny thing is that we made the song BIG ayiiiii ke di Bari sad they truly don’t know how to generate money, the musician said. “So Universal Music pulled our Scorpion King Mix on youtube because they wanted to drop Thokoza by Sam Deep first.”
