Black Coffee, a well-known international disc jockey, revealed his kind side to Dr. Malinga, a fellow musician from Mzansi who was having financial difficulties.
He wasn’t the only one who gave to Dr. Malinga, of course. Even so, he stood out because of the amount he made—reportedly R500k, which is a record among those who chose to support the troubled musician.
Dr. Malinga recently discussed his financial difficulties and made it clear he’s open to receiving assistance from those who can. As soon as he disclosed his bank account information, donations from both fans and other celebrities began to pour in.
The fact that Black Coffee’s donation was singled out for attention indicates that he made a sizable contribution. However, neither the DJ nor Dr. Malinga have disclosed the amount of the donation.
Makhadzi also chose to lend a hand, but she went about it in a different way. In her one-woman show, she added Dr. Malinga as a supporting performer. She also made it clear in her post that she wouldn’t mistreat him.
Dr. Malinga appears to be in a better position than he was prior to seeking assistance.
